featuring a newly designed throat area with a small step before it enters the chamber the focus offers a precision and clarity missing from earlier selmer clarinet mouthpieces. the fairly close 1.05mm tip opening requires a reasonably hard reed set-up, especially suited to vandoren traditional reeds, the focus has a balanced and consistent tone.
